About Us
I started Mystic Massage & Wellness because I kept running into the same problem with people I worked on: they'd done everything right, chiropractic, massage, physical therapy, and still ended up back where they started. That gap between "treated" and "actually better" is what this practice was built to close.
My background is in sports and performance work. I've spent years working with athletes, bodybuilders, and powerlifters, and learning from mentors who've spent decades in the field, including practitioners who've worked with IFBB professional bodybuilders. That hands-on experience is where I learned that the body doesn't work in separate pieces. Your nervous system, your fascia, and your muscles are constantly communicating with each other, and a problem that shows up in one spot is often being shaped by what's happening somewhere else in the system.
That's the thinking behind how we work. Pain is something your nervous system produces, and it's influenced by more than just the spot that hurts, things like old injuries, movement patterns, and tension your body is holding to protect something else. Fascia connects all of it together, and your muscles respond to what your nervous system is telling them to do. So instead of only treating the place you feel it, we look at how your whole system is working together, find what it's actually responding to, and build your care around that.
The vision behind Mystic has always been bigger than one treatment style. It's a space built to help people move and feel better using whatever combination of tools actually gets them there, grounded in real assessment instead of guesswork. I'm a California-licensed massage therapist and one of a limited number of certified Neubie practitioners in California. I built this practice in Bixby Knolls, Long Beach, for people dealing with pain or movement problems that haven't responded to conventional care, so there's finally somewhere that tries to find out why.
